As this month seems to flying by and Easter fast approaches, for most it's a sign that spring is here. For me, it is a stark reminder of another year since my dad passed away. It always makes me think about time.
We all think we have enough time but in reality there aren't enough hours in the day to get through everything we want or need to achieve and I know that there are a lot of people who would give anything, just to have 5 more minutes with a loved one who is no longer here. Me included.
Time is our most precious commodity that we freely have to what we want with, but do any of us? We waste our time. The average person spends on average 67 hours a year queuing. It may be a useless fact but it is still time that has been spent and we are never getting it back.
Use your time with intention. Make a list, whether it's to complete your daily tasks or a bucket list, do it! Set yourself some goals and dreams and believe that you can get through them all!
Take time for yourself. Self care is not selfish, it's essential for your physical and mental well being to do something for you. Read that book, relax in the bath, talk a walk. Take time to appreciate you.
Say what you need to and do what you need to, Opportunities and moments can come when you least expect it and can pass you by in the blink of an eye. Don't put things off that you will later regret. Regrets can weigh heavy on your heart and mind.
Don't gloss over the little moments whilst you wait for the big things in life, because when you look back, those little moments are the big things. Pay attention to the details. Enjoy the details.
Laugh, smile, enjoy your time, be present in your time. Feel satisfied in what you are doing. Life really is too short.
